Problem Statement
In the last decade, mobile phone manufacturers have invested a substantial amount of resources and time in understanding user needs, designing, developing, and marketing these technologies to heighten their sales and brand reputation (Turukalo et al., 2019). Research shows that manufacturers have concentrated on identifying health technologies and applications that can easily be miniaturized and economically placed in the market (Depner et al., 2020). However, there is limited research-based on comparing user satisfaction, usability, and efficacy of these health wearable technologies and smartphone applications. Thus, this research seeks to examine the usability, efficacy, and user satisfaction of health wearable technologies and smartphone health applications to elicit insights that can be used to increase the user experience.
